Print a Booklet Double Sided from PDF

To print a booklet double sided from a PDF you must impose before you duplex. A reader-order PDF printed two-sided is not a booklet. After Booklet Imposer exports, each PDF page is one impression: sheet Front then sheet Back, outer to inner.

In the printer dialog: double-sided, Flip on long edge for landscape 2-up, 100% / actual size, booklet mode off. If the back is upside down, the flip edge is wrong or you should enable Rotate back pages 180° and export again. There is no separate “print” button in the tool and no window.print() path. You download one PDF and print that.

Why long edge? The sheet is landscape with two reader pages side by side. The fold is the short midline. The printer should turn the sheet around the long edge so the back aligns with the front. Short-edge flip inverts the back. The Rotate back 180° toggle exists for machines that cannot be switched.

Do not “fit to page.” Fitting scales the imposed sheet and your page sizes drift. Do not staple until you have folded the whole stack as one signature. Test one sheet first. Colors stay as in the PDF; grayscale is a printer choice. This is not a color RIP. Files never leave the browser. The download name is {stem}-booklet.pdf.
